Kimu Homes is a platform that connects guests with shortlet apartment hosts in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. We facilitate bookings, process payments via escrow, and provide support throughout your stay.
All guest payments are held in escrow via Paystack. Funds are not released to the host until the guest has checked in and the stay is confirmed. In the event of a dispute, funds remain in escrow until resolution.
Each listing has a cancellation policy (Flexible, Moderate, or Strict) that determines refund eligibility. Refund amounts are calculated automatically based on the policy and timing of cancellation.
A refundable caution fee may be charged at booking. This is automatically refunded 12 hours after checkout unless the host reports damage within that window.
Hosts are charged a commission of 12-15% per booking. This is deducted automatically from the payout. Guests see clean prices with no additional service fee.
Either party may file a dispute. Disputes freeze the escrow until resolved by our support team. Evidence (photos, messages) may be requested from both parties.
